Fall color runs copper, chocolate and gloss

The fall color lists agree on a warm palette. Cosmopolitan polled colorists and landed on a range from spicy copper to dark chocolate brown, with glossy finishes as the thread that ties them together. Elle counts nine trends that include chocolate brown and copper, and NewBeauty points to velvet espresso and a range of auburn and copper-brown reds.

Holiday photo season arrives early

Holiday at the Arboretum runs Nov. 11 through Jan. 3, and the Arboretum says this is the final season for the 12 Days of Christmas gazebos. NBC 5, FOX 4 and the Dallas Morning News all covered the farewell. The Arboretum sits on Garland Road, a few minutes from Lakewood.

Thanksgiving follows on Thursday, Nov. 26, the date of the Cowboys and Eagles game in the Dallas Morning News schedule, and Small Business Saturday lands on Nov. 28. Open the booking calendar loudly now, and bring gift cards into the conversation in November.
