FAQ
Questions agencies ask
Pricing, the free week, Monday delivery and what lands in each brief. If your question isn't here, write to Jackson at hello@shoutreport.com.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
Pricing is per client, per month. The rate drops as your roster grows.
- 1 to 2 clients$400per client per month
- 3 to 5 clients$350per client per month
- 6 or more clients$300per client per month
The lower rate applies to every client on the account. Four clients come to $1,400 a month. Six come to $1,800.
Is there a contract?
No. Plans are month to month and billed monthly. Add or drop clients as your roster changes.
Is there a plan for a single local business?
It's coming soon, at around $149 a month. Email hello@shoutreport.com to hear when it opens.
The free week
How does the free week work?
Pick one client, fill out the intake, and that client's first brief is on us. Keep going at the regular price, or stop there.
What does the free week cover?
One client's first brief, once per agency.
How long does the intake take?
About five minutes. Tell us what the business does, where it is, who it serves and what's coming up.
How fast is the first brief?
Within three business days of a complete intake.
The brief
When do briefs arrive?
Monday morning, by email, in time to plan the week. Each client on your account gets its own brief every week.
What's in each brief?
Every brief follows the same shape, so your team knows where to look.
- Local trends. Dated moments around DFW that fit the client's business and neighborhood, each linked to its source.
- Post ideas. Each comes with a caption ready to paste and a visual direction your team can shoot this week.
- What to post first. A ranked pick with the reasons, so the first post lands at the right moment.
- Phone-only shot list. About ten minutes of shooting per idea, on a phone, with no faces needed.
- Neighbor Watch. Nearby events and neighbors worth a tag, with the dates and times.
- The watch-out. What to skip or handle with care this week, from a burn ban to a sensitive holiday.
- Last week. A short look back at the last brief, so the ideas build from week to week.
- Reply to tweak. Swap an idea or change the tone by replying.
Can we see an example?
Yes. Read the sample briefs for a hardware store, a restaurant, a salon and a gym. The clients are made up. The dates, events and sources are real.
Do you post for our clients?
Your team produces and posts. We write the brief and the ideas, ready for your creatives to run with.
Can we share the brief with our client?
Yes, forward it as is. If you want to present it as your agency's own work, ask us about a white-label add-on.
What if two of our clients compete?
Each brief is written for one client. Competing clients on your roster get separate briefs, and we don't reuse ideas between them in the same week.
Do you cover areas outside Dallas?
Briefs are built around Dallas-Fort Worth. If your agency is in DFW and has a client elsewhere in Texas, ask us.
Changes and cancelling
How do we ask for changes?
Reply to the email your brief came in. Ask us to swap an idea or soften the tone, and we'll turn it around within a day.
Can we cancel?
Yes. Plans are month to month. Email hello@shoutreport.com at least seven days before your next billing date.
Can we drop one client and keep the rest?
Yes. Add or drop clients as your roster changes. Your rate follows the tier for the number of clients on the account.
Who we are
Who writes the briefs?
Shout Report is a Dallas studio founded by Jackson Benett. We read and edit each brief before it goes out, and each trend links to its source.
Where does the local info come from?
From Jackson's log. He tracks the events and dates happening in Dallas and Fort Worth, and the creators who cover them. Right now that is 87 events and dates and 183 creators, all in one place. We update it as things change.
How many clients can you take?
We keep the roster small so we can edit each brief ourselves. If we're full, we'll tell you when a spot opens.
Try it on one client, free
Pick a client, fill out a five-minute intake, and the first brief is on us. After that it's $400 per client per month, month to month.
